"Rivers and global warming"
Welcome on Clim-Arbres
Clim-Arbres is a website dedicated to a project of the same name. This research project, financed by the Federal Office for the Environment (Swiss confederation), is led by a multidisciplinary team of researchers, members of the ITNP (Institut Terre-Nature-Paysage) of the HES Lullier, in collaboration with partners from the Swiss Federal Research Institute (WSL), the University of Lausanne, the EPFL and the Engeneering College of Geneva.
Its aim is to set up a strategy to fight efficiently against the effects of the warming of rivers by planting vegetation on riverbanks.
This project, over three years, will have the intervention of different specialists in various domains such as dendrology, mechanics of fluids, audiovisual communication, climatology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), nature management and landscape architecture.
The objective of this website is to allow any person to follow the various stages of the project almost day to day.
